The CorningWare Casual Collections line comes in two color schemes, blue outside and white interior or terracotta green.   This bakeware is designed to go directly from your oven to your table where you can use it as your service.   It features large handles and knobs for safe and easy gripping.   Casseroles and serving bowls nest to make storage easier. The CorningWare Casual Collections bakeware is only sold in two vessel shapes at CorningWare--- a 2 or 3 quart bowl-- although previous shapes are available for sale at other sites and locations.

DishwasherSafe.gifThe Casual Collections line is made of a non-porous stoneware for use in the oven, microwave, refrigerator, as service wear, and even to go in your freezer.  It resists cracking and chipping. The CorningWare Casual Collection product line is dishwasher safe.

CorningwareCasualCollections.jpgThis set is not reviewed by many at Amazon, but those that did give Casual Collections high marks. Most of this bakeware receive 4 to 5 stars, with the most reviewed item faring slightly worse at 3 1/2 stars. One reviewer who gives the 3-piece bowl set 3 stars was expecting something entirely different," The bowls are nice and heavy duty but I was expecting them to be like the plates...light...not stoneware.  It would have been nice to know that it was stoneware before I ordered it because I needed it to be lightweight since I have a hard time lifting things.  I think the description should make it clearer that these bowls are made out of stoneware not the other stuff."

Half the reviewers are far happier, and give this particular 3-piece bowl set five stars, as one said, "What an excellent set of bowls!  Beautiful serving bowls, heavyweight stoneware, will coordinate with anything - ARRIVED IN PERFECT CONDITION.  And the price is unbelievable!!  Wish I had found these before I spent 4x as much on Pottery Barn's Great White Coupe Serving Bowl set!  Another great buy!"

An item no longer sold directly by CorningWare's website, terracotta 7 inch ramekins, receives five stars from its single reviewer, "I ordered two of these and find them quite useful.  I store leftovers, which keep very well.  The tight fitting cover helps maintain freshness.  Also, they can be used to heat up what is stored in them.  This item is an absolute necessity for our kitchen.  Highly recommended."

Overall, there are not a lot of reviewers of this product line, and very few vessels are available, but those who bought CorningWare's Casual Collections bakeware are by and large extremely satisfied.

About Corningware Cookware

Corningware now makes less "cookware" than they used to. The glass Visions cookware is still available in some places, but ever since World Kitchens, LLC bought Corningware in the late 90's, they reconfigured the products for stoneware, which cannot be used on top of the stove. Over the last couple of years they have severely cut back on their active product lines.
