CorningWare bakeware was first introduced in 1958 and was made of a glass-ceramic material. In the 1990's World Kitchen purchased the brand and has since switched to ceramic stoneware production. This change allows all collections to be used in conventional, convection and microwave ovens as well as making it possible for them to be stored in the refrigerator and freezer. It also allows the company to produce cookware in new shapes and colors.
Corningware stoneware bakeware is breakable, so exercise care. Do not use it on a stovetop, under a broiler/griller, toaster oven, or any other direct heating source or open flames. When hot, handle with a potholder. To clean, hand wash with a nonabrasive cleaner or place carefully in your dishwasher.
A full selection of Corningware Colours Bakeware is not easily found; if you're looking for a set of bowls or the single baking dish you'll find them, but otherwise this line is available in few shapes and sizes.

The Amazon reviewers that were able to buy the 5 piece set gave it five out of five stars. One says, "These pans look like pottery, not your normal shine of Corningware. I'd be proud to give them for any gift, and have found multiple uses for the casserole with a lid, and the big lasagna or cake pan. The 2 small ones are identical and nice to make a matching serving set."
Another reviewer proclaims, "I was very pleased with both the price and the quality of this set. I picked it up to replace some old pieces that were in bad shape. This set is very nice looking, the color actually would go with just about any kitchen."
