Farberware Classic Straining PotThe Farberware Classic Series has a lot of reviews at Amazon, and they're mostly 4 to 5 stars with the ten piece set receiving slightly worse at 3 stars. A 4 star reviewer says of the 10 piece set, “I love the Farberware cookware . The pots are perfect. The only "problem" and the reason for 4 not 5 stars is the nonstick pans. I hate the nonstick surface because they scratch and can leave toxins in the food.”

A five star reviewer of the Farberware Classic 15 piece set says, “Not much has changed in 37 years! I needed a new set of pans and wanted a non-Teflon set. I didn't even bother looking at those expensive $400 sets; I looked right in my mom's pots and pans cupboard. She has the same Faberware set she received for her wedding in 1968. My thoughts were, I can't go wrong her set looks as good as new!”

One says of the 12 piece cookware set that it's an excellent starter set, “This is my first set of cookware as I've moved into my first apartment. The pots and pans are just the right size for 3-4 person dinners. It's made of great material and I have enjoyed the product thus far.”

A one star reviewer of the 2 3/4 covered saute did say that the nonstick surface and exterior were both presenting problems. “I bought this for someone as a Christmas gift and it has turned out to be a horrible pan. The outside has been discolored and it emits an awful smell when used. I would NOT recommend it.”

A five star reviewer disagreed, “I bought this because of the design. It holds more and the rounded sides make it easier to stir or turn food. The clear glass lid is a definite plus.”

FarberwareAffinitiSet.jpgFarberware Affiniti receives 3 to 5 stars from Amazon customers. One four star reviewer says the bronze 12 piece set performs like more expensive cookware , “I just received these pans for our second home. I have to admit that I bought them primarily for how great they look but I have enjoyed cooking with them the past few days. Normally I use a set of anodized aluminum pans that were not cheap and these have come fairly close to their performance. They are a gorgeous shade of muted orange and the pot and pan sizes are perfect.”

Another four star reviewer writes about the 12 inch open skillet, “This is a nice large skillet but not to heavy. It's one of the best skillets I have ever owned. Handle stays cool and is very comfortable.”

FarberwareAffinitiSet.jpgSome Amazon reviewers have found flaws with Farberware Accents; it receives 3 to 4 ½ stars overall though. Some find the exterior hard to clean, and say that it can discolor. One reviewer puts it like this; “My husband and I received this set for Christmas from my mother-in-law. We loved them! She got us the silver colored set that matched everything in out kitchen. We use them everyday and LOVED cooking on them for 6 months now. A couple days ago I was making broccoli and the Teflon came off onto my broccoli and the silver turned to a brownish color. Nothing I do washes the color out. It looks awful!”

Another had the same issue, but still gave the set four stars, “I've had this set for a year and a half now and I think they are great, especially for the price. (But I got them on sale for half off!) Absolutely nothing sticks to the nonstick interiors and the surface coating has been very durable, no scratches or chips. My only problem is that the color darkened on the pieces I have tended to use more often.”
